Natalia Romero Ramírez (pictured below with J. Walter Thompson Colombia‘s VP of Integrated Communications Planning Adriana Pineda), Creative Advertising and Marketing student at Escuela de Artes y Letras of Bogotá is one of five young women selected for our Helen Lansdowne Resor (HLR) Scholarship.
The HLR Scholarship was launched aiming to change the unfortunate truth that, despite holding the majority of buying power in most of the world, only 11% of creative directors in America are women (3% Conference, 2014) and 14% globally (The Advertising Society, 2014).
With the commitment to change this industry paradigm, the scholarship focuses on supporting and guiding talented women from diverse origins who aspire to join the creative lines. The HLR Scholarship offers five individual scholarships of up to $10, 000, a paid internship at a J. Walter Thompson location, a J. Walter Thompson mentor and “first look” placement consideration upon graduation.
